Don Davis has been tattooing for over 34 years. He opened Art In Motion Tattoos in 2004. His goal was to create a shop where artists love their work. He wanted clients to feel at home. Every tattoo is a unique piece of art.
Don believes that being a tattoo artist starts with being an artist first. Every artist at Art In Motion learned to master their craft with a pencil, brush, or other traditional tools. They did this long before using a tattoo machine. That foundation is what makes this shop capable of doing any style you can dream up — and Don leads by example.

What Inspires Tattoo Artist Don’s Work
Outside the shop, Don’s passions keep his creativity fueled. He’s a dedicated gym rat, an avid fisherman, and loves spending time outdoors. He is also a skilled photographer. His eye for composition, light, and detail shows in his tattoo work.
Whether he is on the water at sunrise, hiking in Colorado, or taking photos, these moments inspire his designs. You can see the depth, realism, and bold natural imagery in his work.
